Long-Range Thermal Surveillance for Critical Site Protection

The IROD (InfraRed Object Detection) Site Surveillance System by InfraTec is a complete thermal monitoring solution designed for automated surveillance of large outdoor areas and critical infrastructure.

By combining high-resolution infrared cameras and intelligent image processing, the system detects and documents the movement of people or vehicles in complete darkness, adverse weather, or poor visibility conditions.

With detection ranges of up to 18 km for vehicles and 15 km for personnel, IROD delivers reliable long-distance monitoring and early threat identification, making it ideal for border security, ports, airports, industrial facilities, and other sensitive environments.

Modular System Built for Reliable Monitoring

The IROD system combines high-performance thermal imaging cameras with precision pan-tilt positioning and automated scanning of predefined monitoring sectors.

Its modular architecture allows the system to be configured with single or multiple cameras, including combinations of infrared and visible-light sensors, to match the requirements of each site. IROD can be implemented for short and/or long range stationary or mobile monitoring via ground-based or airborne platforms.

High geometrical resolution and precise positioning ensure reliable detection and tracking across large areas, while operators can seamlessly switch from automated monitoring to manual control for detailed investigation of suspicious activity.

Rugged protective housings and industrial-grade components enable dependable operation in harsh environments, ensuring continuous and reliable 24/7 surveillance regardless of the conditions.

The IROD system can be used with a stationary desktop PC or mobile using a notebook or tablet for ultimate flexibility. It is compatible with all InfraTec camera types including the ImageIR and VarioCAM HD series.

Powerful IROD Software for Intelligent Monitoring and Analysis

IROD’s user-friendly control software delivers a comprehensive monitoring interface that enables operators to manage and analyze surveillance data in real time. It is designed to be configured easily by the user to display the information that is most critical them, and provides the tools to configure fully-automatic monitoring.

The platform supports continuous display of thermal imagery across multiple monitored sectors, live fusion of thermal and visual camera feeds, and detailed system status monitoring. Acoustic and graphic temperature alarms are user defined and customizable, and controls can be easily reverted from automatic to manual control for monitoring of suspicious persons or vehicles.

Built-in data logging, image archiving, and temperature analysis tools allow users to track trends, review events, and maintain documentation for security or investigative purposes.

Designed for flexibility, the software can be operated from stationary control rooms or mobile devices such as laptops and tablets, providing location-independent monitoring and rapid response capabilities.
