Surface coatings are essential in the protection of materials such as metal sheets, foils, glass and plastics. Without high-integrity coatings, these materials are susceptible to corrosion, wear, and scratches. LayIR-CHECK combines cooled InfraTec ImageIR infrared cameras with proprietary INDU-SCAN software to deliver high-resolution thermal imaging that reveals coating defects and layer inconsistencies as soon as they occur.

Featuring task-optimized lenses, optional spectral filters via an integrated filter wheel and rugged industrial installation, the LayIR-CHECK system captures precise data on layer thickness and uniformity, even at high production speeds.

Automated Alerts and Process Adjustments to Ensure Efficient Manufacturing

Coating defects with a diameter of up to 1 mm can be accurately identified. When a defect is detected, LayIR-CHECK can automatically trigger alerts or process adjustments, keeping the manufacturing line running efficiently and predictably.

Measurement, storage, evaluation and comparison of measurement data can all be done within the powerful thermographic software, also capable of flexible response to changes in inspection tasks for ultimate versatility.
